Qatar’s bourse down 0.6% in week

Mubasher: The Qatar Exchange declined by the end of the week, on the back of banks and real estate stocks.

The main index lost 0.64%, or 56.11 points, and closed at the level of 8,749.65 points.

Insurance led the declining market sectors, decreasing by 3.18%, followed by financial sectors and real estate with 1.53% and 1.32%, respectively.

Traded volumes went down 5.24% to 48.48 million shares, with total turnover slipped 1.25% to QAR 482.38 billion

As for the stocks’ performance, 15 ended the week in gains, while 27 closed in red, with three remained unchanged.

Vodafone dominated 17.11% of this week’s trade, followed by Qatar National Bank (QNB) with 8.36%.
