Mubasher: Qatar has achieved a budget surplus of QAR 7.1 billion ($1.9 billion) during the first six months of 2018, according to the Qatar Central Bank's (QCB) governor said on Monday.
The gas-rich nation’s gross domestic product (GDP) rose 2.5% from January to June, while the nominal GDP levelled up 14.6%, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported, citing Abdulla Bin Saoud Al-Thani as saying.
The governor further noted that inflation hit 1%, while the current account balance saw a surplus of 25.7%.
