Qatar’s domestic liquidity falls 1.2% in October – QCB

Mubasher: Qatar’s domestic liquidity declined 4% year-on-year in October, according to data released by Qatar's Central Bank (QCB) on Sunday.

Money supply (M2) reached QAR 571.17 billion ($156.91 billion) in October, from QAR 578.37 billion ($158.89 billion) in the same month a year earlier.

It is worth noting that M2 includes accounts, timed deposits, and savings accounts.

The volume of currency issued went down 0.9% to QAR 16.43 billion in October, against QAR 16.58 billion in the prior-year period.

By the end of October, total banknotes rose 6.1% to QAR 51.13 billion from QAR 48.17 billion in the same period in the year before.
