Mubasher: Foreign investments in Qatar increased by 8.7% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2018, reaching QAR 709.7 billion ($196 billion), compared to QAR 653 billion ($180.30 billion), the Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics’ data revealed.
The gas-rich nation’s foreign direct investment (FDI) fell 5.7% to SAR 123.4 billion by the end of Q3-18, from QAR 130.9 billion during Q3-17, the ministry’s data added.
Qatar’s overseas investments decreased 1.8% to QAR 385.2 billion from July to September 2018, compared to QAR 392.2 billion in the year-ago period.
