Qatar’s money supply decreases 3.15% in Jan.

Doha – Mubasher: Qatar’s money supply fell last January by 3.15% to QAR 504.95 billion ($138.663 billion) from QAR 521.38 billion ($143.175 billion) in December, according to figures released by Qatar Central Bank (QCB) released on Tuesday.

Quasi money supply also declined in January by 6.7% to QAR 368 billion ($101.055 billion), and foreign currency deposits shrank 7.13% to QAR 141.2 billion ($387.747 billion).

Demand deposits rose 8.62% to QAR 125.88 billion ($345.677 billion).
