Mubasher: The number of Qatari new businesses slid by 32.6% month-on-month in February 2018, according to the ministry of economy and trade’s monthly bulletin.
The number of registered companies reached 2,090 companies in the second month of 2018, compared to 3,100 in the same period a year earlier.
The limited liability companies topped the registered firms representing 63% of the total number, while corporations owned by a single person, the individual and foreign companies made up 27%, 9% and 1%, respectively, the ministry’s data showed.
The number issued trade licenses in February rose to 1,400 versus 864,000 amended licenses.
On the other hand, the number of companies that ended their business reached 323 in the previous month, while around 2,900 companies were established.
