Mubasher: The number of Qatari new businesses declined 14.4% year-on-year in May 2018, the economy and trade ministry said.
The number of new registered firms reached 1,960 in May, compared to 2,290 companies in the month before, according to the ministry’s monthly bulletin released on Thursday.
The limited liability companies topped the registered firms representing 62% of the total number.
Meanwhile, corporations owned by a single person and the individual companies made up 27% and 10%, respectively, the ministry’s data showed.
It is worth noting that commercial licenses reached 8,280 , while the number of closed firms recorded 271 firms.
