Mubasher: The number of Qatari new businesses surged 73.9% month-on-month in September, the economy and trade ministry said.
The number of newly registered firms reached 2,463 in September, compared to 1,416 companies in the month before, according to the ministry’s monthly bulletin released on Thursday.
The limited liability companies topped the registered firms representing 60% of the total number.
Meanwhile, corporations owned by a single person and the individual companies made up 31% and 9%, respectively, the ministry’s data showed.
It is worth noting that commercial licenses reached 5,024, while the number of closed firms recorded 213.
