Mubasher: Qatar's non-oil exports jumped 36.5% year-on-year for the first nine months of 2018.
Non-oil exports recorded QAR 18.03 million in the nine-month period ended September, from QAR 13.2 billion in the same period of the prior year, according to Qatar Chamber’s (QC) recent report.
In September, non-oil exports of the Persian Gulf country rose 4.6% to QAR 1.64 billion, compared to QAR 1.57 billion in the same month a year earlier.
Moreover, around 3,015 origin certificates were issued last month including 2,718 general model certificates, 130 unified certificates for the GCC countries, 148 unified Arab certificates of origin, 18 certificates of origin for preferences and one unified certificate to Singapore.
Oman topped the list of non-oil exporting countries in September with total Qatari exports of QAR 689 million in nine months, representing 42.1% of the total value of non-oil exports, followed by the Hong Kong with total exports of QAR 235 million, while Singapore came in the third place with QAR 151 million.
