Mubasher: Qatar’s non-oil exports increased 3.7% to QAR 1.7 billion ($488.33 million) a year-on-year in October 2017, compared to QAR 1.64 billion ($437 million) in the same period last year, according to Qatar Chamber’s monthly report.
The total value of Qatar’s non-oil exports reached QAR 14.95 billion in the January-October period.
Qatari exports were destined for around 57 countries in October, up from 52 in the earlier month, including 5 Arab countries along with the GCC states, 13 European countries, 16 Asian countries, 12 African countries, and four countries in South and North America, according to the report.
Oman and Kuwait remained the key GCC markets for the Qatari exports in October 2017, accounting for around 57.56% of Qatar's overall non-oil exports with a value of QAR 984.9 million, most of them from Oman.
While Qatar's exports to the Asian countries, excluding Arab states, amounted to QAR 428.5 million, representing around 25.13% of its total non-oil exports in the same period.
