Mubasher: The Qatari real gross domestic product (GDP) achieved a 1.8% year-on-year growth in the fourth quarter of 2017.
GDP of the world’s biggest LNG exporter reached QAR 204.22 billion in Q4-17, up from QAR 200.69 billion in the year-ago period, according to a report released by the Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics (MDPS) on Thursday.
The nominal GDP grew 5.7% in Q4-17, compared to the previous quarter growth of QAR 152.21 billion.
Meanwhile, mining and quarrying sector decreased by 6.4% quarter-on-quarter to QAR 95.67 billion in the three-month period ended 31 December, the MDPS’ data showed.
