Qatar’s trade surplus reaches QAR 8.3bn in June

Doha - Mubasher: Qatar’s trade balance surplus reached QAR 8.3 billion in June, falling by 44.4% or QAR 6.6 billion compared to the same period of 2015 and rose by 10.6% or QAR 0.8 billion compared to May.

Total exports, including exports of goods of domestic origin and re-exports, fell in June 28.1% y-o-y to QAR 17.4 billion and rose 2.4% compared to May, according Qatar News Agency citing data released on Wednesday by the planning and statistics ministry.

Imports of goods reached QAR 9.1 in June, falling by 1.6% y-o-y and 4.1% m-o-m.

Exports of petroleum gases and other gaseous hydrocarbons (LNG, condensates, propane, butane, etc.) decreased by 29.3% y-o-y to QAR 10.3 billion.
