Doha - Mubasher: Qatar’s commodity balance of trade declined in January to log QAR7.3 billion surplus, according to a report issued Saturday by the ministry of development planning and statistics.
Qatar’s commodity balance of trade fell in January by 58.1% or QAR10.1 billion compared to same period of the previous year. It also slipped by 17.8% or QAR1.6 billion, compared with December 2015, state-run news agency QNA cited the report as saying.
The report added that the total value of Qatari exports (which include local exports and re-exports), reached QAR17.9 billion last January, with a decline 33.6% compared to January 2015, and 9.4% compared to December 2015.
