Mubasher: Qatar’s unemployment rate inched down 0.1% year-on-year in the fourth quarter of 2017, the Ministry of Development, Planning, and Statistics revealed in a report on Tuesday.
The jobless rate in the world’s biggest exporter of liquefied natural gas (LNG) decreased 0.1% to 2,480 people in Q4-17.
The number of job seekers in Doha recorded 11.5% of the total number of jobless in Q4-17, with males accounting for 39.3%, while females made up 60.7%.
By the end of the final quarter of 2017, the Qatari population rose 0.5% recording 2.66 million, data showed.
