Mubasher: The development planning and statistics ministry of Qatar announced that the country’s job market remained steady in the first quarter of 2018 when compared to the corresponding period a year ago.
Qatar’s employment rate registered 0.1% in Q1 ended in March 2018, according to the ministry’s recent survey.
In Q1-18, the number of job seekers in Qatar totalled 2,500 of which 39.2% are males and the remaining 60.8% are females.
It is noteworthy that by the end of Q1-18, Qatar’s population reached 2.7 million, a growth of 1.5% when compared to 2.66 million in the fourth quarter of 2017.
