Qatar-Mubasher: Qatar Exchange (QE) extended its rise for the second straight day, with the benchmark adding 0.42% or 42.39 points to reach the 10,217.19 level.
Turnover declined from QAR 346.22 million to QAR 175.47 million, and traded volume fell from 11.21 million shares to 5.39 million shares, exchanged in 3,334 transactions.
Financial analyst Ayoub Eshban told Mubasher that the index has support at 10,100 and 10,200 and resistance at 10,300, 10,400 and then 10,500 points.
The real estate topped advancers, leaping 1.25%. Meanwhile, the insurance led decliners, with a loss of 0.78%.
Out of the 39 stocks traded on Wednesday, 11 rose, 24 declined and four kept flat.
Islamic Holding was the best performer of the day, climbing 5.19%. Meanwhile, General Insurance was the major disappointment, diving 6.24%.
Vodafone was the most active with a traded volume of 1.04 million shares. Gulf International led in turnover with around QAR 29 million.
