Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Tuesday in green, recording the fifth rise in a row and its highest level since 20 January.
The main index edged up 0.9% or 85.5 points to the level of 9,633.32 points, Al Rayan Islamic Index moved up 0.30% to 3,410.87 points and the All Share Index grew 1.27% to 9,547.83 points.
Trading volume rose 2.2% to 8.97 million shares, versus 8.78 million shares exchanged yesterday. Turnover also leapt 33.7% to QAR 317.1 million, compared to QAR 237.22 million on Monday.
The real estate sector dropped alone by 0.90%, while telecom moved up by 4.80%, consumer goods and services (+2.11%), banking (+2.09%), transportation (+1.97%), insurance (+1.39%) and industrial (+0.24%).
Qatar Cinema topped risers by adding 9.95%, while Gulf Warehousing led losers with a decrease of 5.32%.
Gulf International was the most active share with a trading volume of 1.16 million shares exchanged at QAR 49.55 million through 487 trades.
The main gauge rose yesterday 0.70% or 66.53 points to the level of 9,547.83 points.
