Doha – Mubasher: Qatar stock exchange’s benchmark rose in Tuesday’s morning trading as all sectors moved higher.
At 10:15 Qatar time, the main index increased by 3.23% or 275.20 points to reach the 8792.02 level.
Al Ryan Islamic Index also leapt 3.55% to 3,141 points, while all Share Index jumped 3.09% to 2,339 points.
Tuesday’s trading value reached QAR 102.5 million, after 4.29 million shares were exchanged in 1,959 transactions .
The telecom sector topped the green list, with a 4.85% rise. The banking sector came second, with 3.44%, followed by the insurance sector with 1.18%.
Wrapping up equities, Khaleeji Commercial Bank was the best performer, soaring 9.36%. Meanwhile, National Cement was the big drag, falling 3.04%.
