Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) main index closed Thursday at 8,584.01 points after losing 1.21% or 105.36 points.
Al Rayan Islamic Index fell 1.38% to 3,039.03 points, and the All Shares Index declined 1.09% to 2,287.29 points.
Trading volume came to 7.80 million shares worth QAR 290.73 million through 3,457 trades, compared to QAR 7.80 million shares exchanged at QAR 290.73 million through 5,374 transactions.
The real estate was the worst performing sector as it dropped 3.66%, while transportation was the best with a rise of 1.64%.
Out of 40 companies, 15 shares closed in green, 21 closed in red and the four remaining were flat.
Qatar Navigation topped gainers by adding 3.14%, whereas Qatar Islamic Insurance led losers with a decline of 5.38%.
Ezdan Holding was dominating the volumes with 992.4 million traded shares, while QNB, the day’s value leader, generated QAR 28 million.
The main index closed Wednesday at 8,689.37 points after losing 3.31% or 297.13 points.
