Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Thursday in green, amid a collective rise by the main sectors.
The benchmark climbed 2.08% or 196.91 points to the level of 9,683.62 points, the All Share Index rose 1.98% to 2,579.75 points, and Al Rayan Islamic Index jumped 2.06% to 3,435.44 points.
Trading volume reached 10.04 million shares through 5,064 trades, compared to 5.92 million shares exchanged through 4,282 transactions on Wednesday. Turnover also increased by 43% to QAR 304.53 million from QAR 212.33 million yesterday.
Banks and real estate were the best performing sectors as they rose 2.8% and 2.23% respectively, while insurance grew 1%, the day’s slightest rise.
Medicare Group headed gainers by adding 5.28%, while Gulf International was the weakest share as it fell 9.95, but, nonetheless, made the biggest trading volume and value with 1.48 million shares exchanged at QAR 51.59 million.
The main index declined yesterday by 1.52% or 140 points to 9,486.7 points.
