Mubasher: Qatar ranked the first among countries in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in Global Entrepreneurship Index 2018 and came in the 22nd position globally, according to the Global Entrepreneurship and Development Institute’s (GEDI) report.
The Index, which measures the health of the entrepreneurship ecosystems in each of 137 countries, relies on collecting data of 14 indices covering all details concerning local and global environment, infrastructure, social environment, transports network, available telecommunication and overseas markets access.
As for the Arab Countries, Oman ranked the second across the Arab world and 33rd globally, but Bahrain came in the 35th position. While Kuwait, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia and Egypt ranked 39th, 40th, 45th and 76th, respectively.
