Doha - Mubasher: Qatar’s trade surplus increased in November by 25% month-on-month and reached QAR 9.6 billion, according to the ministry of development planning and statistics.
In November, the trade balance declined by 8% or QAR 800 million year-on-year, compared to its level in November 2015.
Total exports fell by 10.1% year-on-year and 0.1% month-on-month, and reached QAR 18.7 billion.
Meanwhile, imports totalled QAR 9.1 billion, declining by 12.2% year-on-year and 17.7% month-on-month.
The imports of the most important group, petroleum and hydrocarbon gases, went down by 12.2% to QAR 11.6 billion.
Japan came as the biggest importer, dominating 19.1% of the total Qatari imports with QAR 3.6 billion, followed by South Korea, and India with 16.5% and 12.7% respectively.
