Doha – Mubasher: : Qatar’s trade balance surplus reached QAR 6.3 billion in March 2016, decreasing by 58.7% or QAR 8.9 year-on-year and 15.3% or QAR 1.1 billion month-on-month, according to a report released by the planning and statistics ministry.
Total exports declined last month by 33% y-o-y to QAR 17.1 billion and rose 0.4% compared to February.
Commodity imports value rose by 4.7% y-o-y to QAR 10.8 billion, and advanced 12.6% m-o-m.
The value of the most important commodity exports, petroleum gases and other hydrocarbons, reached QAR 9.6 billion for the period, plummeting 44.6% y-o-y.
