Mubasher: The Qatari machinery and equipment price index (MEPI) declined 0.2% in the second half of 2017 compared to the first half of the same year, according to data by the Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics (MDPS).
The index showed a decline to 101.6 points in H2-17 from 101.8 points in H1-17, data said.
Five groups pushed the MEPI to fall topped by the prices of the office, accounting and computing machinery segment, which went down 1%.
Meanwhile, the prices of special-purpose machines and transport equipment decreased 0.10% each, according to the report.
During H2-17, the prices of used, medical, precision, visual equipment remained stable.
