Mubasher: Deposits in Qatari banks declined 1.02% in November, as shown by the data of the Qatar Central Bank (QCB) on Wednesday.
Bank deposits totalled QAR 794.08 billion last month, compared with QAR 802.25 billion in November 2017.
Shrinking public deposits led the annual decline, with the government’s deposits totalling QAR 285.49 billion in November, down from QAR 308.28 billion, decreasing by 7.4%.
On the other hand, private sector’s deposits increased by 35% to QAR 484.87 billion, up from QAR 359.07 billion.
Deposits by non-residents surged 21.7% to QAR 164.26 billion, compared with QAR 134.92 billion in the same period last year.
