Doha – Mubasher: Total assets of Qatari banks rose in May 2017 by 0.41% or QAR 5.4 billion to QAR 1.31 trillion, compared to QAR 1.3 trillion in April, the Qatar Central Bank (QCB) said on Tuesday.
Bonds issued by Qatari banks totalled QAR 33.87 billion in May, 0.8% up from QAR 33.6 billion in April.
The total value of deposits certificates of Qatari banks increased in May by 22.92% to QAR 1.77 billion from QAR 1.44 billion in April.
The bank’s total investments in the real estate sector amounted to QAR 922.44 million in May, compared to QAR 915.09 million in April.
Qatari banks’ total assets grew in April by 2.3% month-on-month.
