Qatari benchmark index gains 99.13 points

Doha – Mubasher: Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) main index closed Monday in green, as it advanced 1.03% or around 99.13 points to 9,742.78 points.

Al Rayan Islamic Index also leapt 1.07% to 3,577.48 points, and the All Shares Index closed at 2,602.15 points after increasing 1.02%.

Trading volume came to about 6.95 million shares through 4,015 trades worth about QAR 298.17 million.

“Today’s supports were 9,650 and 9,700 points, while resistances were 9,750, 9,800 and 10,000 points,” Financial analyst and economic advisor, Ayoub Eshban, told Mubasher.

The insurance topped the sectors with a rise of 2.38%, while the services came alone on the red list after dropping 0.15%.

Out of 43 43 companies, 30 shares closed higher, 8 others moved down and the five left were flat.

Gulf Warehousing rallied 8.99% making it the top share, while National Medical Care was the lowest with a 3.52% decrease.

The biggest trading value activity went to Masraf Al Rayan with about 1.6 million traded shares, whereas the highest trading volume owned by Industries Qatar with a liquidity of about QAR 70 million.

QSE benchmark index closed Sunday at the level of 9,643.654 points after shrinking 3.71% or about 371.17 points.
