Qatari benchmark index loses 200 points in early trade

Doha – Mubasher: Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) main index kicked of the week losing shrinking 200 points or about 2%, reaching the level of 9,814.26 points in early trading.

QE Al Rayan Islamic Index plummeted about 2.29% to 3,610 points, and the All Shares Index slipped 1.85% to 2,621 points.

Trading value reached about QAR 10.5 million through executing 204 trades on around 309,680 shares.

The financial sector topped the green list with 3.97% higher, followed by the telecom with 3.23%.

National Medical Care was the best performer in morning session with a rise of 3.82%, while Gulf General Cooperative Insurance was the weakest share with a decline of 6.86%.

QSE benchmark index closed Thursday with a 0.04% decrease or around 4.02 points to the level of 10,014.82 points.
