Doha – Mubasher: The Qatari main index is expected to continue rising in the upcoming period, driven by the country’s strong economy and financial position of listed companies, which are projected to pay good cash dividends for this year, according to market analyst Ayoub Eshban.
“The volatile performance by the index was a result of the lack of transparency and corporate news leaked by papers prematurely, but now we see companies provide their disclosures transparently, which rebuilt traders’ confidence,” Eshban told Mubasher on Monday.
The benchmark index closed Sunday rising with a rise of 0.52% or about 50.9 points to 9,912.92 points.
