Qatari bourse closed Wednesday in red

Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Wednesday’s trading on a negative note as its main index declined 0.07% or 7.5 points to the level of 10,465.43 points.

Trading volume decreased 28.4% to 5.27 million shares from 7.36 million shares, turnover also retreated 43.7% to QAR 155.66 million from QAR 276.49 million.

The real estate topped the red list with a fall of 0.75%, pressured by the drop in Barwa Real Estate and Ezdan by 0.87% and 0.64% respectively.

The banking sector shrank 0.16% as Commercial Bank of Qatar slid 2.7%.

Meanwhile, the industrial and transportation sectors rose by 0.66% and 0.35% respectively.

Al Khalij Takaful was the worst performing stock after falling by 3.38%, while Dlala led gainers by adding 2.8%.

Vodafone Qatar made the highest activity with a trading volume of 2.34 million shares exchanged at QAR 25.75 million.
