Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Exchange’s main index fell 0.13% or 13.08 points at Thursday’s close, reaching the level of 10,389.96 points.
The index was pressured by the fall in some blue chips as Industries Qatar fell 0.09%, Commercial Bank of Qatar shrank 2.25%, QIB declined 0.1% and Qatar Electricity and Water slid 0.94%.
Trading volume increased to 6.3 million shares from 3 million shares exchanged on Wednesday, turnover also grew to QAR 190.43 million from QAR 95.42 million.
The insurance sector led the red list with a 0.74% fall as Doha Insurance topped losers with a drop of 2.38%, followed by the banking sector with a 0.31% decrease.
The real estate sector retreated 0.1% due to a 0.59% decrease in Barwa Real Estate.
On the other hand, the telecom and transportation sectors rose by 0.71% and 0.36% respectively.
