Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) main index rose at Tuesday’s close by 0.28% or 28.95 points to the level of 10,201.9 points.
QNB grew 0.56%, Ezdan topped the green list by adding 3.5% and Industries Qatar leapt 1.47%. The three stocks accounts for 40% of the index’s total weight.
Trading volume decreased to 7.9 million shares from 10.2 million shares exchanged on Monday, turnover also declined to QAR 319.13 million from QAR 421.88 million.
The real estate sector rose 1.48% and the banking sector leapt 0.19%.
The industrial sector also closed in green, backed by the increase in Qatari Investors by 2.59%; the stock made the highest trading activity with a volume of 2.4 million shares exchanged at QAR 139.65 points.
On the other hand, the consumer goods and services sector shrank 1.47%, the telecom sector declined 1.14%, and the transportation sector slid 1.01%, as Milaha was the worst performing stock after falling by 4.26%.
The insurance sector declined by 0.2%.
