Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Exchange’s main index closed Sunday’s session rising 0.56% or 62.67 points to the level of 11,197.48 points.
Trading volume reached 4.28 million shares exchanged at QAR 164.86 million.
The index was backed by the rise in Doha Bank, QNB, Qatar Electricity and Water and Industries Qatar by 1.69%, 1.52%, 1.22% and 0.53% respectively.
The banking sector was the best performer as it grew by 0.74%, followed by the industrial sector with an increase of 0.72%.
Meanwhile, the insurance and consumer goods sectors fell by 0.25% and 0.20% respectively.
