Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Exchange’s main index ended Wednesday’s trading with a growth of 0.64% or 67.02 points to the level of 10,604.77 points.
The index was backed by the rise in blue chips as QNB, Ezdan and Industries Qatar grew by 0.074%, 0.41% and 1.33% respectively.
Trading volume increased to 5.22 million shares from 5.04 million shares exchanged on Tuesday, turnover also rose to QAR 238.29 million from QAR 204 million.
The transportation sector came alone on the red list with a fall of 0.09%.
Meanwhile, the banking sector was the best performer after adding 0.8% as Ahli Bank topped gainers with a growth of 3.66% and QIB leapt by 2.91%. the latter made the highest trading activity with a trading volume of 530,590 shares exchanged at QAR 57.21 million.
The telecom, industrial, consumer goods and real estate sectors advanced by 0.78%, 0.64%, 0.46% and 0.43% respectively.
