Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Exchange’s main index rose 0.36% or 38 points by the end of Sunday’s trading, reaching the level of 10,572.45 points.
Trading volume increased 42.3% to 13.7 million shares from 9.63 million shares exchanged on 8 September, turnover also rose 60% to QAR 695.7 million from QAR 434.5 million.
The rise was due to the increase in some blue chips as Ezdan, Masraf Al Rayan and Nakilat grew by 1.3%, 0.7% and 0.5% respectively.
The telecom sector advanced 2.74% as Ooredoo topped the green list by adding 3.94%. the insurance, real estate and banking sectors also leapt by 1%, 0.89% and 0.31% respectively.
On the other hand, the industrial sector fell 0.83% due to a 2.6% decrease in Aamal, the consumer goods and services sector shrank 0.45%.
