Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s main index stood in the green zone with a slight rise of 0.38 point, reaching the level of 10,398.33 points at close on Tuesday.
However, Al Rayan Islamic Index plummeted 0.47% to 3,827.1 points, and the All Shares Index declined 0.02% to the level of 2,764.81 points.
Trading volume hit 4.85 million shares exchanged through 2,562 trades worth QAR 199.76 million, compared to 6.19 million shares worth QAR 249.97 reached from executing 3,225 trades.
The banking sector led the green list after rising 0.53%, while the insurance fell alone by 2.22%.
Tuesday’s session saw 41 traded shares, eight of them closed higher, 31 others dropped and the two remaining were flat.
Zad Holding was the strongest share with a 4.52% increase, whereas Qatar Insurance slipped 3.22%.
Vodafone Qatar made the biggest trading volume activity with about 1.04 million shares traded, and Industries Qatar made the highest trading value activity with liquidity near QAR 45 million.
The benchmark index closed Monday in green at the level of 10,397.95 points, with an increase of 0.92% or 95.15 points.
