Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Wednesday’s session with an increase of 0.04% or 3.82 points to the level of 10,704.29 points.
Trading volume decreased to 6.56 million shares from 6.81 million shares exchanged on Tuesday, turnover also shrank to QAR 206.27 million from QAR 247.15 million.
The index was backed by a rise of 0.65% in Ezdan Holding and 0.55% in QNB, the two stocks account for 29% of the index’s total weight.
The real estate sector grew 0.16%, the banking sector advanced 0.04% as Alijarah headed the green list after adding 2.1%.
Meanwhile, the telecom sector dropped 0.16% due to a 0.2% fall in Ooredoo.
Qatar Industrial Manufacturing headed the red list as it declined 2.4%.
Vodafone Qatar made the biggest trading volume activity with 1.7 million shares, while Industries Qatar made the highest turnover of QAR 49.2 million.
