Doha – Mubasher: The main index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) declined on Wednesday by 0.04% or 3.79% to the level of 10,312.88 points.
Al Rayan Islamic Index also lost 0.3% to 4,030.03 points, while the All Share Index rose 0.04% to 2,865.54 points.
Trading volume reached 8.07 million shares exchanged at QAR 324.28 million ($89.07 million).
Transportation was the worst performing sector as it fell 0.38%, followed by the industrial, real estate and banking sectors which nudged down 0.22%, 0.20% and 0.16% respectively.
On the other hand, the telecom, insurance and consumer goods and services sectors advanced 1.70%, 1.62% and 0.57% respectively.
Qatar International Islamic Bank (QIIB) was the worst performing share after shrinking 6.01%, whereas Qatar insurance topped gainers by adding 2.37%.
The bourse’s main gauge rose yesterday by 1.69% or 171.28 points to 10,316.67 points.
