Qatari bourse continues rally; 0.19% up

Doha – Mubasher: The Qatari bourse continued advancing on Wednesday, as the main index was driven to the green zone by the positive performance of 19 shares, making a growth of 0.19% or 19.55 points to 10,554.60 points

The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) Al Rayan Islamic Index closed 0.63% down to 3,918.93 points, while the All Shares Index moved 0.14% up to 2,810.15 points.

Trading volume today reached about 6.40 million shares worth QAR 467.29 million through 4,541 trades.

“Support levels today were 10,500 and 10,550 points, while the resistance levels were 10,600, 10,700 and 10850 points,” financial analyst and economic advisor Ayoum Eshban explained to  Mubasher.

QSE’s sectors fell semi-collectively, led by telecom which was 6.82% down, while real estate was the strongest with a 1.16% increase.

Nineteen shares, out of 43 companies, closed the session higher, 19 others closed down, and the remaining five were left flat.

Ooredoo was the best performer after advancing 10%, while Islamic Holding was the weakest with a drop of 4.35.

Gulf International made the highest trading volume activity with 1.1 million shares traded, while Qatar National Bank made the highest liquidity with about QAR 60 million.

QSE main index closed Tuesday in green after gaining 444.24 points or 4.40% to 10,535.05 points.
