Qatari bourse earns 0.71% at open

Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Exchange’s main index rose in Tuesday’s early session by 0.71% or 77 points to the level of 10,997.68 points.

Trading volume reached 2.6 million shares exchanged through 1,416 transactions at QAR 105.6 million, by 10:00 AM Doha time.

The index was backed by the increase in Qatar International Islamic Bank (QIIB), Dlala Holding, Al khaliji Bank and Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) by 1.54%, 1.2%, 1.12% and 0.95% respectively.

The market’s sectors came all in green, topped by the industrial sector which grew by 1.04%, followed by the baking and real estate sectors as they leapt by 0.65% and 0.55% respectively.

United Development topped gainers with a growth of 2.9%, while Doha Insurance headed losers after dropping by 1.2%.

Vodafone Qatar made the biggest trading volume activity with 531,000 traded shares, whereas the highest liquidity went to Masraf Al Rayan with QAR 16.5 million.
