Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) ended Tuesday’s trading rising 2.18% or 242.95 points to the level of 11,371.12 points.
Trading volume increased to 17.6 million shares from 8.13 million shares exchanged on Monday, turnover also rose to QAR 815.7 million from QAR 371.87 million; the highest trading activity since November 2015.
The index was backed by the growth in QNB, QIB, Ahli Bank, Commercial Bank of Qatar and Masraf Al Rayan by 6.6%, 4.3%, 2.14%, 1.4% and 1.82% respectively.
The market’s sectors leapt collectively, topped by the banking sector with a growth of 3.5%, followed by the insurance sector with a rise of 2.84%.
