Qatari bourse edges up 115 points at close

Doha – Mubasher: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Sunday in the green zone, as the main index rose 1.21% or 115.07 points to the level of 9,600.97 points.

Al Rayan Islamic Index jumped 0.89% to 3,446.18 points, and the All Share Index leapt 1.14% to 2,561.44 points.

The industrial sector increased 2.13%, followed by telecom (+1.32%), consumer goods and services (+1.30%), transportation (+1.27%), real estate (+0.80%), banking (+0.77%) and insurance (+0.53%).

Ahli Bank topped gainers after adding 7.39%, while Qatar for Cinema and Film Distribution headed losers after shrinking 9.21%.

Gulf International was the most active with a trading volume of 2.69 million shares exchanged at QAR 83.53 million through 688 trades.

The main index closed Thursday in red after shrinking 1.39% or 133.6 points to 9,485.9 points.
