Qatari bourse ends in red zone

Doha – Mubasher: The Qatari bourse ended on negative note on Thursday, on the decline of almost all the market's sectors.

The main index declined 0.71% or 75.32 points to reach 1,0479.28 points.

The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) Al Rayan Islamic Index went down 0.61% to 3,895.22 points.

Similarly, All Shares Index eased 0.1472% to close at 2,789.9 points.

The market witnessed 5.02 million shares changed hands, worth QAR 213.22 milion through 3,102 transactions.

At the sectorial level, almost all the market's sectors have headed south, topped by the telecommunication down 5.50%.

The insurance sector was the sole gainer as it went up 0.67%.

Out of the 41 companies traded today, decliners outnumbered advancers by 28 to 11, while 2 others remained unchanged.

Tracking stock performance, Dlala Holding came as the top gainer up 4.94%, while Ooredoo was the steepest as it lost 7.07%.

In related development, Masraf Al Rayan registered the best performer in terms of trading volumes and values, with 1.2 million shares worth QAR 45 million.
