Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Exchange’s main index ended Tuesday’s session falling by 0.35% or 37 points to the level of 10,472.93 points.
Trading volume increased 19.1% to 7.36 million shares from 6.18 million shares exchanged on Monday, turnover also rose 16.8% to QAR 276.49 million from QAR 236.78 million.
The real estate sector was the worst performer after shrinking by 0.57%, pressured by the fall in Ezdan and Barwa Real Estate by 1.03% and 0.15% respectively.
The banking sector also fell by 0.41% as all of its stocks closed in red except QIB, which leapt by 0.57%.
On the other hand, the transportation and insurance sectors grew by 0.46% and 0.07% respectively.
Vodafone Qatar made the biggest trading volume activity of 2.53 million shares, while Qatari Investors made the highest liquidity of QAR 80.38 million.
