Doha – Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) declined this week by 4% or 415.18 points to the level of 9,955.99 points, compared to 10,371.17 points last week.
The market capitalisation fell 4% or QAR 22.25 billion to QAR 536.32 billion ($147.16 billion), versus QAR 558.57 billion a week ago.
Trading volume increased 37.2% to 40.02 million shares from 29.17 million shares exchanged last week, turnover also rose 62.8% to QAR 1.58 billion from QAR 970.79 million.
The bourse’s sectors fell collectively, topped by the industrial sector with a decrease of 6.66%, followed by the real estate and banking sectors with a drop of 3.68% and 3.32% respectively.
The green list included only three shares topped by Milaha with a growth of 2.10%, while 39 shares closed the week in red, headed by Medicare Group with a 15.9% fall.
Qatari Investor’s led the week’s trading activity with 24.55% of total turnover, followed by Medicare Group and Widam with 12.95% and 7.22% respectively.
