Doha – Mubasher: The main index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) retreated 0.51% or 60.17 points to reach 11,348.58 points at 10am Doha time on Thursday.
The fall of the benchmark index affected blue chips including Qatar Islamic Bank which lost 1.4%.
Qatar for Cinema and Film Distribution topped the gainers by a growth of 5.9%, while Qatar General Insurance and Reinsurance Co led the losers by a drop of 5.4%.
The insurance sector headed five decliners by 1.2%, followed by the banks which levelled down 0.64%.
Meanwhile, both the telecom and consumer goods sectors were the only gainers by a rise of 0.54% and 0.02% respectively.
The market’s trading value reached about QAR 38 million after about 852,800 shares were traded through 600 transactions.
