Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Exchange’s main index grew on Thursday by 1.06% or about 109 points to the level of 10,428.67 points.
Turnover increased 11% to QAR 300.41 million from QAR 270.8 million on Wednesday, trading volume also rose 13.4% to 8.04 million shares from 7.09 million shares exchanged on Wednesday.
The real estate sector topped the green list with a growth of 1.61%, backed by the rise in all its shares. The banking sector also leapt 1%.
Meanwhile, the telecom sector was the only loser after falling 0.37%, as Ooredoo topped decliners with a 0.53% decrease.
Qatar Oman Investment was the best performing share as it grew 2.7% to QAR 11.44.
Vodafone Qatar was the most active stock with a trading volume of 829,840 shares, whereas Industries Qatar made the highest liquidity of QAR 77.55 million.
