Qatari bourse gains 160 points at open

Doha – Mubasher: The main index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) rose by 1.73% or 160 points to 6,732 points in Sunday’s early trading.

Trading volume reached 5.12 million shares worth QAR 153.5 million after 2,325 trades were closed.

Medicare Group was the best performing share after advancing 9.9%, while Qatar Islamic Insurance topped losers with a decrease of 2.3%.

Gulf International was the most active share with a trading volume of 932,300 shares exchanged at QAR 40.5 million.

The benchmark index closed Thursday in green, making the second rise in a row.
