Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Exchange’s main index closed Monday’s session rising 1.6% or 166.25 points to the level 10,585.08 points.
Trading volume increased to 12.02 million shares from 3.81 million shares exchanged on Sunday, turnover also rose to QAR 1.73 billion from QAR 150.28 million.
The index was backed by the growth of 0.73%, 1.82% and 3.88% in QNB, Ezdan and Industries Qatar respectively.
Masraf Al Rayan and Qatar Islamic Bank also leapt by 1.99% and 0.88% respectively.
The market’s sectors grew collectively, topped by the insurance sector with a growth of 4.24%. The industrial sector, real estate and consumer goods sectors advanced by 2.17%, 1.46% and 1.17% respectively.
Qatar Cinema led the green list with an increase of 9.85%, while Islamic Holding topped losers with a 2.76% decrease.
QNB made the highest liquidity of QAR 80.57 million, whereas Ezdan made the biggest trading volume activity with 1.63 million shares.
