Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) ended the second week in May in green, as its benchmark index rose 1.98% or 192.64 points to the level of 9,941.42 points, up from 9,748.78 points.
Al Rayan Islamic Index also grew 3.35% or 127.79 points to 3,938.21 points, and the All Share Index advanced 1.85% or 50 points to 2,778.76 points.
Turnover increased 5.3% to QAR 1.39 billion from QAR 1.32 billion last week, while trading volume shrank 6.7% to 39.65 million shares from 42.5 million shares exchanged a week ago.
Medicare Group was the week’s best performing share after adding 23.13%, whereas Qatar First Bank (QFB) was the worst with a decline of 11.55%.
QFB made the biggest trading activity with a volume of 6.49 million shares, while Medicare Group led in value with QAR 146.78 million.
The bourse’s main gauge shrank last week by 4.29% or 437.40 points to the level of 9,748.78 points.
